Independence Day should be a time when our nation comes together acknowledging God for the freedom and liberties He has provided. On July 4, 1776, in a letter to his wife, Founding Father John Adams declared the Fourth of July “ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.”
When reading the Declaration of Independence, we see our Founders didn’t hesitate to acknowledge God as the source of their rights. Four times the Declaration mentions God as our “Creator.” All people (even if you don’t believe in God) “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” God is recognized in the Declaration as our lawgiver: “the laws of nature and nature’s God.” God is our judge: “appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world.” God is our protector: “with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence.”
The founders also acknowledged in the Declaration the only way to put necessary limitations on our government would be for our representatives to acknowledge God as the source of our rights. Our civil servants should acknowledge our “Creator” and that our “Creator gives us certain unalienable rights” that no man or government can take away.
Unfortunately, many of our government officials today no longer acknowledge God or that He gives us certain unalienable rights, freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, right to life, freedom of speech, self-defense and many others.
The recent Democratic debates confirmed this anti-God movement in our nation and reminded me of the story of David and Goliath. On one side of the battlefield we have the presidential candidates (socialist “giants”). They were all lined up behind their podiums mocking God, boasting of murdering innocent babies with taxpayers’ dollars, and revealing their ultimate goal – enslaving the American people. On the other side of the battlefield we have the conservative republicans and the media just helplessly standing by, watching. After the debates, not ONE republican or journalist defended God’s honor to these socialist “giants”! Neither was there any mention of how the “giants’” policies are a direct attack on the peoples’ God given or unalienable constitutional rights!
No doubt we have a Goliath-size problem in America today, but take heart, so did David in his day. When David got tired of hearing Goliath mocking God, he announced, “Is there not a cause?” David’s cause was knowing God’s reputation was at stake and David’s love and passion for God outweighed his fear and possible death.
Like David, I have grown tired of these “giants” mocking God, denying and suppressing the factual truth of America’s Godly heritage. On this celebrated day of our nation’s Independence, I am officially announcing my candidacy for the Congressional seat of Florida District 25 in the 2020 election. By the grace of God, He has equipped me and empowered me over the last eight years to confront these spiritual “giants” on their unconstitutional immoral policies and practices. My platform is titled “Is there not a cause?” It’s not a political movement but a move of God to restore Him to His rightful place of recognition in our nation once again.
America is engaged in the greatest spiritual battle since the American Revolution and I believe God is not done with America yet! So let’s go and take down some “giants”!
The Lord is calling out “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” What will you tell the Lord?
“Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8
In the year of our Lord 2019 –
