Letter to Fox News reporters

When our Founding Fathers created the First Amendment they said: “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press….” They did this realizing how important a role the press would have in protecting our nation. The media should be the “watch dogs” of our nation. Why then, do you and your Fox News colleagues and contributors refer to America’s form of government as a democracy-when we are not? Our Founders had the opportunity to create a democracy but chose not to. Why? President John Adams explained that a, “[D]emocracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy; such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes and no man’s life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure.” We are seeing a rise of anarchy in our nation that Adams spoke of because the media, politicians, secularists, and many citizens promote America’s form of government as a democracy. Dr. William James, considered the “Father of Modern Psychology” stated, “there’s nothing so absurd but if you repeat it often enough, people will believe it.”

In a democracy, the people themselves are the higher source of authority. When an issue is to be decided, the general population votes and the majority wins. In a democracy, the source of law is the majority or popular feeling of the people.

In America’s republic we recognize an authority higher than the people, almighty God, as the source of our laws. Citizens then elect representatives who uphold and defend the written U.S. Constitution and adhere to the higher authority when they pass laws to govern our nation. Founding Father Noah Webster who was the “Schoolmaster of America” stated clearly what that source of law was: “Our citizens should early understand that the genuine source of correct republican principles is the Bible, particularly the New Testament, or the Christian religion.” Nowhere in any of our founding documents is America referred to as a democracy. Actually, Article IV, Section 4, of the U.S. Constitution guarantees our republican form of government –“The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government.”

I believe you are a true conservative watch dog, so I have sent you a copy of my recent published book “The Bible is the Higher Law in America.” Please read chapter 4 about America’s republic. Please correct the record when you are broadcasting and include a warning to the American people about this dangerous trend of acting as if we are a democracy.

May God bless you,
