Weaponizing Antisemitism and Anti-Christian Bias

Recently, I wrote a letter to President Trump about my concerns for his Executive Order (EO)  – Combating AntiSemitism (https://allianceforreligiousfreedom.com/trumps-eo13899-will-suppress-the-gospel/). In this letter, I wanted to continue my rant by objecting to the President’s Executive Order 14202 – Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias.

As a Christian, living in a nation founded on Biblical principles, I find the strong language in these EO’s offensive, intimidating and unconstitutional. According to various dictionaries, Combating Antisemitism means, “fighting or in conflict with those who have hatred or hostility towards Jews.” Eradicating Anti-Christian bias means, “to destroy or get rid of those opposed to or hostile toward Christianity.” In my opinion, it appears the President is using similar hate speech in his EO’s to “fight” against those he wishes to “eradicate.”

This hatred the President is attempting to “destroy” has been around for at least 2000 years, and no EO or any type of legislation is going to change the hate in a man’s heart – only Jesus can. The Prophet Jeremiah said, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). Apparently, the President and his administration know more about the heart than the Prophet Jeremiah and the Holy Spirit?

Furthermore, Jesus warned His followers to expect to be hated. He said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18). Jesus also reminded His disciples, “If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20).

So, what happened to the First Amendment? Don’t we already have laws in place to prosecute those individuals who use their freedom to promote violence and civil unrest?

It appears the President’s administration has set aside the First Amendment in support of weaponizing antisemitism and anti-Christian bias.

In the year of our Lord 2025,
Sincerely, Tom Hughes
