Dear Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson –
According to the Detroit News, you are considering adding a third gender option on Michigan licenses. This option, if adopted, would allow drivers to choose “X” instead of “M” or “F” to indicate their gender. If the third gender option were adopted, Michigan would become the 14th state to hear the calls from the LBGTQ community to make the change.
Consider the facts. The Declaration of Independence acknowledges God’s moral law in the phrase “the laws of nature and of nature’s God.” In God’s eyes, homosexuality and trans-genderism is not natural according to the “laws of nature’s God.” In Genesis 5:2 God’s Word says, “He created them male and female.” However, since those who identify as homosexual or transgender are created in God’s image, they do have rights, but not special rights. By legislating perversions of human sexuality, it does not then become moral in our nation, a nation that is “under God.”
Furthermore, Ms. Benson, the principles of the Declaration have also been actively working in Michigan’s constitution since its inception. The Preamble of the state of Michigan’s constitution states, “We, the people of the State of Michigan, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of freedom…” Also, Michigan statute § 25 Marriage. Sec. 25. states –“To secure and preserve the benefits of marriage for our society and for future generations of children, the union of one man and one woman in marriage shall be the only agreement recognized as a marriage.”
If this gender option is adopted, maybe Michigan legislators should consider removing any acknowledgment of God from the state constitution, therefore opening the door for the state to identify officially as Sodom and Gomorrah.
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil” Isaiah 5:20.
In the year of our Lord 2020 –
