From a biblical perspective, God’s role for a king was political and spiritual, leading the people according to His law. God’s design for kings was to seek guidance and correction from godly counselors (prophets/ministers) regarding the governance and spiritual direction of the nation.
In my previous letter (https://allianceforreligiousfreedom.com/where-are-the-kings-of-america-2/), I pointed out that the people (specifically Christians) are the Kings in America. If that is the case, who are the counselors to the Kings? Pastors are the counselors, and it’s their responsibility to keep America’s Kings informed of their biblical duty to God and country.
Kings should always seek wise counsel, Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Unlike pastors (counselors) today, early church ministers stood in their pulpits and warned people from a biblical perspective to oppose any government encroachment of their God given rights. So, what happened to the Kings and counselors of America?
In 1947, the church began to relinquish its throne of righteousness to the secular government of “Caesar.” The lie of “separation of church and state” was created by secularists and the courts, leaving many Christians (kings) and pastors (counselors) believing they are to stay out of government affairs and should not have a voice in the political arena, when in fact, the Bible and Constitution, along with our Founders and early church ministers specified otherwise.
In 1954, Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson passed a law (Johnson Amendment) restricting a church’s political involvement or risk losing their tax-exempt status. The lie of “separation of church and state” and the Johnson Amendment violate biblical and historical precedents, along with Jesus own words in Matthew 22 (https://allianceforreligiousfreedom.com/clarity-and-spiritual-security-of-the-first-amendment/) “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” These unconstitutional attacks should have been repealed by the Kings and their counselors decades ago! As a result, most America’s churches are state run (controlled), comparable to the state run churches our Founders delivered us from.
It is apparent many pastors like to quote Romans 13, “submit to the governing authorities” to justify not speaking out on the immorality and corruption in our country. Unfortunately, those using this scripture without understanding how it applies to America today have created a spirit of complacency and apathy among the people (the Kings) of America.
Instead, ask yourself, “who really are the governing authorities in America?” You will soon realize that “We The People” (the Kings) are the governing authorities, adhering to a written constitution.
So – for the sake of God and country – when will the people (Kings) and their pastors (counselors) start “obeying God rather than men” (Acts 5:29) and “take back from Caesar what Is God’s?”
In the year of our Lord 2025,
