Is God against walls?

For decades, America’s southern border has been open to illegal immigrants to enter illegally, therefore, making America a lawless nation. President Reagan said it best, “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.”

In 2013, all Senate democrats voted to build a 700 mile wall. During the 2016 presidential campaign, then candidate Donald Trump promised to build a wall at the U.S. Mexico border. Trump believed building a wall would help stop illegal immigration, drug cartels and illegal weapons from entering the U.S.  Today, democrats refer to a border wall as  “immoral,” “anti-immigrant” and “ineffective.” I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of their hypocrisy. The only difference between five years ago and today, Trump is president, not Obama.

Our Founding Fathers had a Biblical worldview and believed there was nothing in life that the Bible did not address. America’s culture, our laws and government were established based on a Judeo-Christian worldview, with the Bible as its source. Today, our Founders would build the wall because it’s not only the right thing to do, but it’s the Biblical thing to do.

In the Bible, God chose Nehemiah to build a wall around Jerusalem to protect the people (Nehemiah 1:1-7 and chapter 3). I believe God has chosen President Trump to build a wall for the very same reason, to protect the American people (“He removes kings and raises up kings” Daniel 2:21). God chose Trump and Nehemiah to build a wall because they were leaders and builders, not pastors or priests. Therefore, is God against building walls? Absolutely not! If you’re still opposed to President Trump building a border wall, remember, Heaven will have walls and not everyone will get in. “She had a great and high wall with twelve gates” Revelation 21:12

In the year of our Lord 2019 –
Blessings, Tom
