Letter to Congress/Senate-Babies Murdered on Demand

Dear Congressman/Senator –

Your recent massive $1.3 trillion spending bill was a huge disappointment for the American people. Especially the $500 million budgeted for the continued funding of Planned Parenthood. In my opinion, abortion in America is worse than ISIS beheading Christian children for refusing to renounce Jesus and their faith. For centuries, beheading was a standard method of execution under Islamic law. Since 2002, radical Islam (ISIS) has used beheading as a method of killing their captives – even Christian children. I am not defending these butchers, but their religious ideology has never changed – but America’s has!

America was founded on Judeo-Christians principles and since her inception the right to life was an inalienable right given to us by God. However, since 1973, not only has our government legalized, but now even financially supports the killing of innocent babies in the wombs of their mothers.

Our Founders were clear – the Declaration of Independence was the foundation on which the structure the Constitution was framed. John Quincy Adams had this to say about the two documents – “the Declaration of Independence was the platform on which the Constitution of the United States had been erected.” The Declaration acknowledges God’s moral law in the phrase “the laws of nature and of nature’s God.” One example of “the laws of nature and of nature’s God” would be abortion.

God’s own Words (the Bible) suggests a preborn child to be a person at the time of conception. David referred to himself as distinct person (“me”) growing in his mother’s womb. David said, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb” Psalms 139:13.

Furthermore, according to our nation’s foundational document our government should acknowledge our Creator and that our Creator gives us certain unalienable rights (one being life) that no man or government can take away.

Our government should acknowledge it exists to secure our rights given to us by our Creator.

Our government should acknowledge it cannot operate below the just powers of the Creator without the consent of the governed.

In all do respect, because of my religious beliefs, adjoined to the Declaration, I do not “consent” to a tyrannical government appropriating $500 million to support babies being murdered on demand.

Not only are we a nation that has forgotten God, but we have now come against Him by legislating immorality. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil” Isaiah 5:20.

Respectfully-
Tom Hughes, President
